Drone show after 75th Independence Day in India

On the 20th of December, in Lucknow, Geoscan drone show took place. It became a part of the 75th Independence Day celebration lasting for 75 weeks. The countdown to the anniversary of independence started in March, 2021 and is finishing on the 15th of August, 2022.

500 drones, accompanied with music, were depicting celebration-related formations in the Lucknow skies:

  • The portrait of Mangal Pandey, a soldier of East India Company, who revolted for Indian independence. He was killed for his revolt, and his death inspired others to continue the fight.
  • The portrait of Rani Lakshmibai, a fearless warrior and a queen who refused to leave her homeland and fought in the battlefield.
  • 100 Chauri Chura logo, created after 100th anniversary of the revolt. Many protesters died in Chauri Chaura, which contributed to the fight for independence.
  • Train — Indian freedom fighters stopped a train at Kakori and borrowed money from the British who took it forcefully from colonised Indian nationals.
  • The portrait of Subhash Chandra Bose who was another inspiring and fearless hero. He derived international support to Indian freedom fight. Moreover, he created his own army of freedom fighters and fought till his end.
  • Azadi logo, celebrating 75th Independence Day. It is literally translated as ‘Celebration of the freedom elixir’.

The Salute Pro drones with a pyrotechnics effect finished the show.

This event clearly illustrated the important page in India‘s history.
