In January, Geoscan organised the first-ever drone light show in Egypt. It was held at the ceremony closing the World Youth Forum, which is a platform where young leaders engage with top policymakers and prominent figures from across the globe to discuss issues such as climate change, human rights, entrepreneurship, and technology.

Geoscan wins at 2nd International Drone Show Competition

On the 21st of December, 2nd International Drone Show Competition announced results. The Geoscan company took the first place in the Over 1000 Drones nomination. Moreover, we got a special prize for the exceptional contribution to the drone show industry development.

214 participants from 104 countries competed in one or more of six categories. We applied with the video presenting our drone show in Saudi Arabia.

Drone show after 75th Independence Day in India

On the 20th of December, in Lucknow, Geoscan drone show took place. It became a part of the 75th Independence Day celebration lasting for 75 weeks. The countdown to the anniversary of independence started in March, 2021 and is finishing on the 15th of August, 2022.

Portraits of leaders in the sky

In November, Geoscan became the first company to create accurate drone-made images of the leaders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: the king and the prince. The light show took place in Riyadh, and it was timed to coincide with the opening of the Boulevard season. 2300 drones soared into the sky!

It was the biggest drone show in Saudi Arabia; moreover, those portraits were the largest ones in the world, with each being 300 metres in height.

Story told by drones: how we organise light show in Yerevan

Yesterday, on the 21th of September, a big drone show took place in Armenia. From the formation to writing, from the state symbol to national hero — 1050 drones were telling a real story of the country emergence.

The show started with the drones forming an eagle, which is depicted on the coat of arms of Armenia. The bird, flapping its enormous wings, was welcomed with astonishment and received so thunderous ovation that music accompanying the show seemed muted. Then, at a distance sacred Mount Ararat, which is a symbol of Armenian nation, appeared.

‘It seemed like I was in the future’: presentation of Samsung smartphones takes place in Tallinn

On the 27th of August, a hi-tech presentation of the Z Flip3 and Z Fold3 smartphones took place within the collaboration between Baltic Drone Show (Latvia) and Geoscan. 500 quadcopters took off into the sky over Linnahall—a multi-purpose venue located on the coast of Tallinn Bay, and they had been performing in various formations and writings for about 10 minutes.

From sky to website: now QR code can be added to drone show

QR codes are becoming increasingly popular, and the Geoscan company included it in the programme during Saudi Arabian show on the 12th of June.

The show took place in two cities simultaneously: in Riyadh and Jeddah. The theme was the promotion of tourism in Saudi Arabia. The country was considered to be closed years ago, and the tourism involved only religious pilgrimages. In October 2019, the kingdom started to open visa applications for visitors, and it continues to actively develop this sphere now.
